The Security and Speed Boost in the 64-bit Version of The Bat!

The 64-bit version of The Bat! has been released to the public, part of The Bat! v6.7.20.

The 64-bit version of The Bat! offers many added benefits for speed, stability and security. In terms of overall performance, it is 5% faster than the 32-bit version in a 64-bit operating system. Using 64-bit programs in 64-bit operating systems is more secure, as threats that specifically target the 32-bit applications are in fact harmless to the 64-bit ones. Although the 32-bit version of The Bat! is able to run in a 64-bit Windows OS, the optional benefits are obtained only while a 64-bit software and 64-bit operating system are working together.

The new version 6.7.20 includes several new features and enhancements, such as a time range selector in the Message Finder, compacting of the address book, as well as online help topics being available now in the German and Polish languages.
